Meet The Team

Certified Birth Doulas, Childbirth Educators, and Advocates for Empowered Birth

Our Story

How we became doulas and why we're passionate about supporting birthing families.

Emily Leavitt

Emily recently began her journey as a doula and has quickly fallen in love with the work. Deeply inspired by the powerful birth stories of countless incredible women, she followed her passion for childbirth and became a certified doula.

Though she does not have children of her own, this allows Emily to offer enhanced flexibility to meet the unique needs of each family she serves. Her commitment, compassion, and adaptable schedule make her a dependable presence during one of life's most transformative moments.

When she's not supporting families, Emily loves spending time outdoors—whether she's hiking, camping, relaxing at the beach, or traveling to new places. Her adventurous spirit and grounding presence are reflected in the care she brings to every birth journey.

Katelyn Leavitt

Katelyn is a newly trained doula who brings years of experience as a licensed massage therapist, with a special focus on prenatal and active labor massage. Her background in bodywork allows her to offer a unique, hands-on approach to support, helping birthing individuals feel grounded, comforted, and at ease throughout pregnancy and labor.

Katelyn's calm presence, intuitive touch, and deep understanding of the body make her a trusted and nurturing companion during one of life's most transformative experiences.

Outside of birth work, Katelyn enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and extended family, and she takes every opportunity to travel and explore new places around the world.

Shaylee Crowther

Shaylee is a certified birth doula with a passion for supporting families through one of life's most transformative experiences. Her path into birth work began during her years as a pediatric dental assistant, where she developed a strong interest in the connection between birth, oral ties, and infant oral health. This curiosity led her to pursue doula certification in order to better understand and support the earliest stages of a baby's life—from birth and beyond.

Her personal experience with the birth of her daughter, which included an unexpected NICU stay and a deviation from her planned birth experience, deepened her empathy and strengthened her commitment to helping others navigate their own unique journeys. Shaylee brings a calm, compassionate presence to her work, offering informed, nonjudgmental support to birthing individuals and families in all circumstances.

Our Approach

Birth support that honors your unique journey

Our approach to doula care is centered on the belief that birth is a natural process that each person experiences uniquely. We don't come with a specific agenda for your birth—our role is to support your informed choices and help you navigate the options available to you.

Whether you're planning an unmedicated home birth, a hospital birth with an epidural, or a scheduled cesarean, we provide non-judgmental, continuous support tailored to your individual needs and preferences. We believe that informed choice leads to empowered birth experiences, regardless of how your baby enters the world.

As your doulas, we commit to:

  • Respecting your choices and birth preferences
  • Providing evidence-based information to help you make informed decisions
  • Offering continuous physical and emotional support during labor
  • Supporting your partner and helping them participate at their comfort level
  • Creating a calm, supportive environment for your birth experience
